Remote Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Robotic Drill

Customer: NSWC Crane

Release Date: 06/25/2024

Submission Deadline: 07/12/2024

Description

This special notice is to inform vendors of an upcoming Request for Solutions (RFS). NSWC Crane Division is seeking solutions to prototype novel EOD remote drilling robot that is man portable, and man emplaced with the capability to perform drilling on a variety of targets. The ability for the EOD Robot to be man portable and man emplaced, while retaining the ability to drill multiple holes on a variety of targets remotely will increase the warfighter’s survivability during EOD operations.  This includes the need for processes, people, and technologies to achieve mission objectives. Current technology does not meet the size, weight, and power requirements or remote capability required for modern EOD operations. Vendors interested in responding to this RFS must be members of the Expeditionary Missions Consortium - Crane (EMC2) consortium. Interested parties may visit emccrane.org for membership information.
